MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASSES

MIDDLE SCHOOL DRAWING

Grades 6-8

Develop your drawing skills and techniques in this relaxed studio environment. The emphasis for this class is to develop confidence in shape and proportion, while incorporating value, texture, and shading in your graphite drawings. Students have the opportunity to work at their own level to develop their skills. 

 

Class discussions and demonstrations will be given each week. Plenty of individual guidance will be given.

 

Students are asked to bring a sketchbook to class each week (approx. 9”x12” size).  All other supplies are provided.

 

This is a graphite pencil class. A Middle School Color Drawing class will be offered Winter 2020.

Class Fee: $72 for 5 week session

MIDDLE SCHOOL INK & WATERCOLOR      Grades 5-8

If you like to draw and doodle, but also like to mix colors, this class is for you! Learn about color washes and wet-on-wet techniques of watercolor painting as you mix colors and work with shading and blending transitions. Draw with Micron pens to give your art pieces the detail to make one-of-a-kind art! Demonstrations and individual guidance will be given as needed. Each student will have the opportunity to make choices to make creative and original art! 

 

All supplies are provided for this class.

Class Fee: $45 for 3 week session

Fridays, January 24 – February 7, 2020 - CLASS FULL

MIDDLE SCHOOL COLOR DRAWING      Grades 5-8

Develop your drawing skills and techniques in this relaxed studio environment. Emphasis is placed on color blending and shading through a variety of activities. Students have the opportunity to practice techniques that expand their understanding and use of color, shading using complimentary colors, and limiting the color palette in a composition.  

 

Group discussions and class demonstrations inspire students to think about project options and observe the concepts presented. Each student is encouraged to make creative choices, resulting in original artwork. Individual guidance is given as needed.

 

Students are asked to bring a sketchbook to class each week. All other supplies are provided.

Class Fee: $60 for 4 week session

Fridays, February 21 – March 13, 2020
