MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASSES
DRAWING - OIL PASTELS
Grades 4-8
Thursdays 4:30 - 5:30pm

Fee: $90
Students will work on drawing skills, focusing on proportion, composition, and value, while learning to blend colors smoothly with oil pastels. Advanced art techniques and concepts will be taught in this fun and creative class.
Group discussions and class demonstrations inspire students to think about project options and observe the concepts presented. Each student is encouraged to make creative choices, resulting in original artwork. Individual guidance is given as needed.
All supplies are provided for this class.
VALENTINE THEME
Adult/Child Class
Ages 6+ and Adult

Fee: $35 for adult/child couple*
Seasonal acrylic painting classes are designed for a child and their special adult to experience an evening of fun and creativity together as they engage in painting a one of a kind piece of artwork to take home. A theme is provided with many possibilities up to the students’ imaginations. Instruction with ideas to get started, supplies, and individual guidance is given as needed for a successful and enjoyable class in our relaxing art studio.
*Class Fee: $35 for each “couple” includes one canvas and all supplies. If you would each like to paint your own canvas or you would like to add on another person to your group, you may do so. There is an additional charge of $10 to add another person and $10 for each additional canvas.
ANIMAL/PET DRAWING
Grades 4-8

Fee: $90
Develop your drawing skills and techniques while learning to draw in a realistic style. The emphasis for this class is to develop confidence in your drawing skills, while incorporating value, texture, and shading in your drawings. We will focus on drawing your pet or favorite animals and learn to draw texture of fur and blend values to create shadows and tones. Students can work at their own level to develop their skills and creativity.
Ongoing class demonstrations will be given during each class. Plenty of individual guidance will be given.
Students are asked to bring a sketchbook to class each week (approx. 9”x12” size). If you choose to draw a favorite pet (pet with fur preferred ie: cat, dog, hamster, rabbit..), please bring a large, clear photo of your pet. Many pet/animal references will be available in the classroom for your use. All other supplies are provided.
